NaturKultur e.V. is a youth organization originally established in North-West Germany and now based in Bremen, Wiefelstede/Oldenburg, and Osterholz-Scharmbeck.  The organization  encourages and supports young people to go on international mobilities, but also other organisations and NGOs to host young people from all over Europe and the world or to send their members abroad and provides opportunities for young people that will help them become more civically engaged in their local societies.  The organization strives to blend the concept of natural world, encompassing all living beings, landscapes, and oceans (Natur) and the concept of human activities and creations, integrating nature and culture in all our initiatives (Kultur).

Your daily voluntary work will be at Friedehorst in Bremen (Germany) an institution that provides competent help, trusting care and individual support to children, young people and adults.

Your tasks will include:

• Working at a farm with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds;
• Assisting with environmental education activities, including practical and manual tasks such as redesigning mainly outdoor areas;
• Supporting open afternoon activities for children and young people, developing and implementing creative projects such as photography workshops, nature exhibitions, or photo books;
• Contributing to the farm’s social media visibility by updating the Instagram account with the latest news and events;
• Learning about the care and basic maintenance of farm animals;
• Planning and implementing events together with the other volunteers for the community of Bremen.

The project is implemented under the European Commission's European Solidarity Corps Programme. The travel to Germany and back is covered up to a certain amount according to the EU distance calculator.

• The volunteer will be accommodated in a house just for ESC volunteers in Bremen, where the volunteer will have their own room;
• Health insurance;
• 446€ monthly (180€ pocket money, 266€ food money).

Volunteering will last from 07.10.2024 - 30.09.2025.

Deadline for submissions: 18.08.2024.

Resident of an EU Country (not Germany) or do not need a visa to come to Germany.

Between 18-30 years old (on the day you start your ESC).

At least A2 level of understanding, speaking and reading German.
